| It is our hope and
intention that this ECMO site will shed a little ray of hope and understanding as well as
support to families who have or have had a loved one on ECMO. My name is Bob and my wife, Monica. We started this web site to bring more information about adult ECMO to those who are interested. I am an adult ECMO survivor. I underwent the ECMO procedure at the University of Michigan in 1997. It is an experience we hope no one would ever have to go thru, as it is very difficult for all involved, the patient, and especially the family. As you may know, the ECMO machine is the last line of defense between life and death. We dedicate this site to ALL ECMO patients, their families, the doctors and the ECMO staff whom make this miracle machine what it is. |
